12 and 1/2

We have entered a new phase at our house called "the boy remembers nothing". A few weeks ago the little boys brought home their school pictures. That was when I realized that Levi had his taken at school WWWAAAYYYYY before the elementary school did. I asked him where the pics were. He nonchalantly informed me that he "forgot" to give me the order form and they had already been ordered and handed out weeks before. I asked him where the paper was. In the recycle box at school he replied. I asked him if he was even IN the annual that I had just paid 60 dollars for. MOM, nobody calls it that anymore....yearbook, and yes I had my picture taken, he told me. Last night, after wrestling practice at 6:45, he told me that he forgot to do his book report, it was due tomorrow, and he needed some help. I promptly tossed him out of the car. JUST KIDDING! I can see that this is not going to get any better. Also, for some reason everything that happens in his life now is somehow my fault. Words of wisdom for surviving the teen years anyone? How long is this going to last?

It will probably last another 5 and 1/2 years! I am having trouble with Autumn. She was sent to the office last week for being sassy to her teacher. She had to miss the last basketball game because of it. What is wrong with these teenagers?

My 12 year old seems to "forget" everything too. I just don't understand!

Oh gosh! My oldest is this way and I seriously wonder if his is going to survive Jr. High. This doesn't give me any hope :(
