Geocaching

While we were at Bald Head, we thought we would go geocaching. I looked up the coordinates of five different ones online, and we set off in search of treasure. We didn't have a GPS, so we used the app on the iPhone.
This is us, not five minutes later. The mosquitos were so terrible, that the hubs had to cover his face with his John Deere hat, to protect his nose and eyes from them. Keep in mind that we were all (except him) sprayed with Off. It is a "don't leave home without it" necessity on the island, lol.
Long story short, we didn't find any of the geocaches. We keep losing the satellite signals and it would tell us that it was hidden somewhere like "out there" (protected marsh land) or in the middle of the ocean. We still had fun riding around hunting them while eating doughnuts though! Definitely going to give it another go at Southport in August.

I've always wanted to try geocaching. We don't have a GPS, though. Maybe one day!

Allot of places rent them out. You could try that. They rent them on the island but all of theirs were broken.

Looks like fun, besides the mosquitos that is. The bugs were bad at Oak Island too.

Dave and I have always wanted to do this, but never have. Maybe on vacation this year.
Did you have a good birthday?

I have heard of this before, but wasn't sure what it was, so I looked it up. It sounds like fun, there are even places to do it close to us.
