Teacher's Anyone

This year we had 9 teachers to buy gifts for.  6 for middle school, one for elementary school, and 2 for preschool.  Not wanting to get another "Best teacher" gift or ornament, I decided to make fudge.  Not just any fudge.... Alton Brown's peanut butter fudge.  When the boys came home I asked for an update.  L replied, "the fudge was a hit."  W added, that his teacher thanked him several times while she was eating it in front of the class.  Then L told me that several teachers munched on theirs during class also.  One even told him that it could be dangerous, because she was on a diet.  But the funniest story came the following morning from the husband of L's math teacher.  (we rent their land)  He called me to personally thank me for the fudge.  His wife came home and paraded it around in front of him.  Normally he doesn't eat anything that comes from school (he was the elementary school principal for years) and asked her who made it, and if it was CLEAN, lol.  By now I was laughing hysterically!  He said she gave him some and it was delish.  I told him Landon came home and was distraught over there not being a "Daddy Batch".  "Tell Landon it was mouth watering", Chuck replied laughing.

Funny...this morning I woke up wondering what we should do for A's teachers! (We only have 2...not 9!)
Fudge sounds great!

Cute story. We don't do the "best teacher" gifts either. It does get harder as they get more teachers. B has 5 this year and G has 2. I did Bath & Body Works anti-bacterial soap with some marble magnets (that aren't made yet, lol) Fudge sounds yummy, I have never made it though.

I thought about doing the soap, but the fudge was so easy. It only takes five minutes to make it.

Fudge sounds like a great teacher gift! Just because I know my kids' teachers have been in the field for at least 20 or more years...so they have every "teacher ornament" known to man.

That is so funny! I think fudge might be an awesome gift for a teacher, especially with so many of them to buy for.

I had Shannon's four boys last night so she and Landon could do a little shopping. I am also keeping Leigh and Dave's dog, Sleepy, till they return from Ireland. Now, most of you know how much energy a Jack Russell terrior has....compare that to four boys...the dog was hiding with me because he was so tired of playing! It was hilarious. The boys would call him and he would run behind me. So, if you want to wear out a dog or just get rid of a little "boy" energy, get both together for an hour or so.
Love, Mom
