Every Wednesday morning, Southport, has a local Farmer's Market on the wharf. Local people bring their fruit, veggies, homemade goodies, and crafts to sell. There was even a local bluegrass band singing and playing for everyone.
We decided to walk around for a bit. Making our way over to the jail, which is now open for tours.
Unfortunately, it doesn't open until 11. It was ten, so that will be for the next trip.

Gorgeous homes on the waterfront with huge porches, shade, and fans. Wouldn't you love to sit out there every evening and shoot the breeze with some of Mama's sweet tea, watching the ships come in?
