Catch Up

Wow, I feel like I can never catch up. If we run the dishwasher, three hours later the kitchen is full of dishes again. If we pick up the living room, we are back at square one a few hours later. Pillows on the floor, blankets on the floor, laptop out, shoes out, cups out. You get the idea. On a positive note, I have gotten all of the school supplies for this year. Except maybe a few of the extra items for the classrooms.....hand sanitizer, Kleenexes, etc. All of the boys have new shoes for school and socks and shirts and shorts. This was quite the feat. Thanks to a 50 percent off sale at Belk's last Friday, and some awesome sale racks at Target, I got all of the buddies stuff for next to nothing. The older boys are all Aeropostale, and they have had great sales too. All I need to do now is order the older boys backpacks from Land's End, and we are ready. They have lasted three years, and Levi's strap tore on the last day of school last year. Wyatt's has his name on the back, and we all know he can't take that to middle school. It would be "Hey Wyatt" this and "Hey Wyatt" that, haha. I don't know if I will have time to blog again before vaca and Bethany's wedding shower next week. So much going on this month. Uncle Shaun is here from Wyoming, we saw him this afternoon for a short while, and two of my cousins are having their babies this month. Add Wyatt's birthday and we are slammed.

I really understand what you mean now that we have four 8 people living here! I am constantly doing dishes and taking out trash, it's crazy!

I hope y'all have a good vacation!

It's worse when you get old and the kids are gone. The grandkids come for a visit then leave and you both sit there in your lazyboys and say, "someone oughta straighten this place up" then you finish watching Burn Notice and go to bed instead. It's probably still there the next night when we say it all over again.
