Got to Be

Look for it, buy it, support your local growers! Many restaurants and large stores buy local meat and produce, including Walmart. If you want outstanding home cooked food, try The Commonhouse in Charlotte. I am not even kidding when I say the food is amazing! I had steak and Landon had pot roast and oh my word, delicious. Crystal told us she would have licked her plate if we weren't in a restaurant. :) The meat comes from a small local farm. Oh and the best part? My very own cousin owns it with some buddies. Congrats Michael, job well done!

Great, great, post. Thanks. And if If I ever get down there I'll try the restaurant. Sounds like a winner.

i always try to buy local if i can--though i boycott walmart :) --we have several local food stands around plus a farm that sells their food directly. I think Ingles also buys some local stuff too.

That was some GOOD food! I can't wait to go back (maybe for Chad's birthday). I am ready for the Farmer's Market to start up!!

Any time someone says they would lick the plate but they are in a resturant - well, it gets my vote no questions asked.

I wish our Walmart was a Super Center. I would buy there more often!

We have a Super Target and that's a favorite of mine. My 1 stop grocery and misc. shopping experience. :)

But i MUST SAY that there's this little meat shop where the owners have their own ranch and their beef is THEE best i've EVER had!
