Falling

Well, I made it through a whole day of skiing and not getting hurt only to come home and fall. Yesterday, I started painting the trim in the mudroom. I walked from one side of the room to the other, only to step onto something slippery and fall. Not to worry though, the big wooden bench stopped me from hitting the wall. Yep, I cracked both of my knees onto it really hard. But wait.... it gets better. The impact of my forward motion made the bench fall over backwards and hit the wall, and THEN come back into me. I fell backwards onto the floor. Hard. It was then that I realized that the hubs boots had cushioned one side of my patootie. Good right? No. This made me fall at an angle onto the other side of my patootie. Yep, the left side took the full brunt of the fall. Then to top it off, my head hit the laundry basket. Good stuff people. Want to know what is even better? It crossed my mind to empty the room before I started, but then I decided to save time and skip that step. With no one to blame but my own stupidity, I got up, brushed off my sore rear-end and checked out my new shiners on both of my knees. Oh, they are really pretty today. If you pass me in town and I am walking funny, just smile and wave people. Smile and wave.

I just looked at the pictures I took right before I fell. The culprit? The hubs Pioneer hat. ;)

This could have made you a lot of money but someone would have said it was staged. Funny so long as we're not you.
The skiing trip sounded fun. Now that's a great field trip. Kids around here have to go to museums and stuff.
I know this is a bit off the wall, but my Dad was born in 1905 and I remember him telling me about going on a field trip when he was in grade school to a rendering plant. tee hee.
All he could remember was the one employee sitting on a dead cow upon which he had his sack lunch spread out on. The trips are improving aren't they.

My comment should have said something about having it on film...then the first line would have made sense. Sorry.
