Buddies First Day

Friday finally arrived. The buddies thought this was the longest week of their lives. They picked out their outfits last night. I promised their teachers "no matching clothes".
They had too many supplies to take all of them today. I will send more on Monday and Tuesday. Wyatt is carrying their tissues and hand sanitizer to their class for them this morning. As you can see, he is thrilled to no end about it.
The arm bands have their bus number on it, as do the bands on their backpacks. They also have to wear a tag stating their name and teachers names, in case they get lost at school. I guess with 900 students this has happened before.
Landon had a "one-on-one" with each buddy right before the bus came. You know, reminding them how to act. I told them to be sure and say "Hey Wyatt" every time they ran into him in the halls. Again, Wyatt was NOT feeling the love, lol. He insisted that they NOT speak to him because it would be "embarrassing".
And they're off.

A bitter sweet moment! I love the "one-on-one" talk. I think I have seen that look before, lol. You will have to update your post once they get home this afternoon and let us know how it went!

And what did you do with your "free" day? They are so cute!

Clean, vacuum, wash three loads of clothes, go to Food Lion.... you know, the usual.

Love it!
Especially the "embarrassment" of the oldest. :)

They are so BIG!! That is so great they have each other. I am nervous for my little guy tomorrow to ride the bus for 30 minutes to school. I'm sure he will make friends quick, but it's a mom thing. Bring out the tissues :)

VERY cute!!
Love that dad had a talk with the buddies!

I can see that your boys are alot like my girls in the way that one is slightly taller and has a rounder face than the other one. They are INDEED identical boys, but you CAN tell a difference if you look close enough.
Which one is the taller one?

S is the taller one. He has always been bigger. He got a better spot in utero than G did.
