Graduation

The buddies brought home a note from preschool about the upcoming pictures that will be taken in April. Not just any pictures.......cap and gown pictures. It also reminded us to sign up for kindergarten next month. What? How did this happen? Weren't we just calling the preschool in July to slide into the last two openings? I have been dreaming of this day for quite some time. The day all four boys would be in school. Now it is here, and I am not ready. Everything is moving way too fast. If you come to the graduation I will be the one having a breakdown in the back. Bring the kleenexes. My buddies are big boys now.

When my youngest started school, I was asked, "What are you going to do with no children at home?" Well, I tell you what, I was busier than ever. Don't ask me how, but I was. My daughter is now a sophomore at Baylor and my son is a Jr. in high school. When he graduates I am probably going to get that question again. I hope to be busier than ever.

Wow! I am getting a taste of how fast it really does fly! Yours are 5 (alost 5?) and mine is 5 months! Its seems like it was yesterday that I was getting ultrasounds! I don't even want to think about preschool!

Such a bittersweet moment. Happy to see them grow and be ready for school, but sad because they are the babies, the last ones. I can't believe it's almost graduation time though, this year is flying by.

I know, why does it go so quickly with the last ones? It seemed like an eternity with the first two.

Last night at church, Stone or Gage, you know I can't tell them apart unless they're wearing orange and red, said, "How many more years is it till camp time?" I said, "Not years, but 9 days." He ran over to his twin and said, "Only 9 days, only 9 days till we go camping!" It's so great to see someone so excited about going camping. My excitement has been very tempered with my growing age. The buddies help bring it back. Now, just pray for no rain the weekend of March 20-22, please!

That is funny! But they are truly excited!

How fun for you!! I don't blame you for being emotional. I can't believe my 3rd boy will be in Kindergarten next year. He seems too little. He turns 5 next month! Then it will be just me and the baby next year (for 1/2 the day anyway) :)

Time does fly when you have children. I keep asking myself how I have an almost 12 year old.

Nancy, me too!

I tried to forward Steve's notes from what he taught Wed. night to Levi's group. He used farming as an illustration and asked Levi some questions. Make sure you give Steve an email address so you can get the Wed. night notes. His point was that even when a farmer isn't reaping, he's either sowing or preparing the fields to be sown, just like God does. Ask Levi about it.

I remember the girls' first day of kindergarten. The teacher read a story about a heart sticker that was placed on the hands of the kids and the parents so they could remember each other throughout their day. Then she gave us all stickers and sent us on our ways.

My girls were never in preschool, so this was HUGE for me to leave them by themselves with someone else watching and caring for them.

I BAWLED my eyes out when i drove away from that school.
Now that they are seasoned first graders, i am glad i have some time without ALL of my kiddos home.

I bet it'll be different for me when Eli goes off to school. I truely will have no one home with me....
Are the buddies excited about starting "real" school this coming fall?
