Say what?

Earlier in the week, the hubs was hauling off old metal from our shed and the barn.  With the price of it so high, it gave him the kick to get moving.  Most of it is just stuff like broken cattle gates, or experiments that didn't work as planned (for example the leaf vac).  The shed is pretty much empty now except for a 1971 Impala, that has been there since .... forever.  It was his grandmother's boat, I mean ride.  Every-time I see it I think of Mrs. Puff on Spongebob.  The car belongs to Landon's uncle now, so he asked him what he wanted to do with it.  It was decided that I would post it on Craigslist to "see what happened".  I said no one would want it, but whatever.  Amidst this talking G tripped in the shed, and split his lips open and his chin open.   Man, we ALMOST made it through the entire summer with no accidents.  Long story short, it wasn't as bad as it had looked with all of the blood running everywhere, and he had it glued closed at the doctors office.  (first time ANYONE has gotten hurt before 5.... we didn't know how to act, lol)  Back to the boat, er, I mean car.  I listed it with a pic the following afternoon.  TWO HOURS LATER a man called about it.  Yesterday, another guy called about it.  Seems it would make a good "low-rider".  Okay, I'll say it.... I was wrong about the car.  There.  Ya'll happy?  Oh, and cleaning out the shed also got the hubs back on the CJ5.  He got a new windshield for it, and got it running again.  The boys are in seventh heaven!  There is nothing cuter than seeing him with all four boys riding around the pasture in a jeep with the top off.

I actually had to list it stating that it needs some work and the transmission slips a little, and they STILL want it, lol.

An impala? Wow - who knew, I was thinking it would be worth maybe $500 for scrap.

Ouch on the cut chin - that had to hurt the little guy!

Try $900 for scrap. That car is HEAVY.

Glad G is OK. It's always so scary when a child gets sick.

And yes it's always surprising what people want. I just ended up buying a fluourescent green wig for my daughter. I think the sellers must have been pretty surprised to get rid of that !
