New, Newer, Newest

Last night we went to Best Buy to look at flat screen T.V.s, and front loading washers and dryers.  Not allot of washers and dryers to chose from, but waaaayyyyyy too many T.V. choices.  We were clearly in over our heads.  We left empty handed, lol.  On the way home we ended up stopping by the GM car lots.  I have had my heart set on a HHR for next year when every one is in school, and keeping the Suburban for trips and family outings and such.  The HHR gets 30 miles to the gallon and that was what was enticing me to them.  Upon further inspection, I realized how low to the ground they are, and wasn't as impressed with it up close as eyeing them from afar.  Landon wondered over to the new Suburbans.  These things were completely murdered out.  I mean black and the whole sha-bang.  The salesman informed us that the new ones change over form running on eight cylinders to four cylinders when they aren't needed.  Thus, making the SUBURBAN get 25 miles to the gallon.  25?  Could it be true?  Let's just say we were enthralled.  Everyone gives me such flack about driving it around, but what else can six people ride in with ROOM in the back?  Nothing.  And don't even start that van talk.  Been there, done that.  Right now I get around 18 highway miles per gallon.  Hah, went to town for a T.V., and came home with car fever.

So, what T.V. is the best?  Best Buy says they sell more Samsung 40 inch ones than anything else.

What front loading washer and dryers are the best?  I am all ears for the Whirlpools, Bosch, and Maytags.

I am all ears for feedback.  I need a new washer.... STAT!!!!

That is all we had ever purchased too, until we got our Maytag fridge with the freezer on the bottom. I am partial to Whirlpool.

I got the whirlpool duet sport (frontloaders) about a yr ago!...I LOVE THEM! You need to check out HHGreggs scratch and dint!...I did great there, got a matching pair and paid MUCH less than the floor price!...also check out www.epinions.com that is a consumer's opinion of what they bought!..they also do product rating. TV's I know nothing about!....lol! sorry can't help there!

u could also try lowes for slightly damaged washers and dryers (with a dent in it or something) or the floor models that they usually sell for much less. my friends have a panasonic tv that is really nice and i heard sony is good too.

Sorry, I won't be any help. No flat screen or front-loaders for us until our current ones break. At the rate I've been doing laundry, that should be any day now. As for the TV, well...

Okay, we have the GE front loading washer & dryer. I have had no problems with it at all. We got it from Lowes (scratch & dent) both were less than one was new. It came with a warranty too. The only thing I don't like about it, is that they are black- they show so much dust, but they were such a great deal that I can overlook that. If your not sure about front loading, did you look at the Whirlpool that is top loading, but doesn't have the agitator in the middle. They look really nice, pricey, but nice.

I don't know anything about flat screens, that's all Shaun's department. He likes his though.

We have a 56" Sony and one of my boys has 60" Sony. We like them but I'll only say this. When everything is hitting the fan here on the farm I prefer to do business with the guy who I can call and say, "Hey Sam, Marilyn says the washer quit and it's full of water....thanks Sam I'll tell her it'll be fixed by noon." That's how I pick out my appliances. I buy them sight unseen usually also. (we have 3 sets of washers and dryers here on the farm/kennel/rental house.
I've read down to where I left off. You guys are busy folks.

Thanks for the great info guys. When we get a new washer-dryer, they will be front loading because we want to save water around here. I didn't know about HH Gregg, but I will be keeping an eye out now... thanks Beth. We now know what is wrong with our current washer, and it will be fixed tomorrow. The guy at the Whirlpool parts place was awesome.
