Yummy

Today the hubs asked me to make potato soup for supper. I agreed, before I had a chance to survey the potato situation in the cabinet. Realizing I only had about eight left (no where near enough for my people), I started cutting them up for hash browns. I then scrambled up some home grown eggs to go with that, and grilled bacon on the George Foreman. It was getting so smoky in the kitchen, I told Levi to open the vent to the stove. We have a very "old school" one that actually goes through a hole to the outside. About five minutes later, my brother-in-law came tapping at the kitchen window. "What are you COOKING?" he asked grinning from ear to ear. "Hash browns, eggs and bacon. We are having breakfast for supper, " I replied. "Oh my gosh! It smells SO GOOD. I thought someone was grilling out here....the smell is going straight to the shop. It is driving us CRAZY!" he told me. Then he started to leave, and turned back around adding, "If you have any leftovers CALL ME!"

Wow, the way to a man's heart REALLY is through his stomach! Today anyway, lol.

I love doing breakfast for dinner. My kids get a kick outta it.

Good way to turn a potential potato disaster into something yummy! ;0)
