Running

Yesterday Blake was running the loader in Landon's pasture, and I wasn't comfortable sending the buddies home through the fence. So I shook up my routine a little. I ran from Mike's cattle guard, up the hill past the Bud House. The funny thing was the buddies acted like I had deserted them and kept calling me. "Mommy! What are you doing?" "MOMMY....wait for me!" They could see me the entire time, but I had to turn around and go BACK down the hill and walk up it WITH them. They kept asking me questions and I wasn't answering. I had to focus on the important things, you know, walking and breathing. The questions didn't stop, until I whispered, "Can't talk right now." Today? Let's just say I am feeling the burn.
