Super Bowl

Many of you know I am not a fan of watching sports on the television.  But the kids had their 3-D glasses from school for that commercial.  We tuned in to watch the second quarter.  Any one else get excited watching that Steeler catch the ball, during what was supposed to be a TD for the opposite team.  That dude was huge!  Can you imagine running with all that weight to the OTHER END OF THE FIELD?  Glad I saw it.  As for Bruce, well I didn't enjoy it.  Guess I am too young for that.  I only knew the last song he sang, and what was up with him throwing the guitar and sliding into the camera.  Was he drunk?  A.N.Y.W.H.O.  The thing that I was sitting there thinking was.... teachers are getting cuts in pay and these guys are making a fortune.  Our elementary school had to give back $13,000.00 from their initial budget this year as a result of the state cut-backs.  The people who are training future America are struggling and we would rather put money into entertainment.  What is wrong with our country?

I agree with you on the education thing. As for half time, we switched and let the kids watch WipeOut on ABC. Bailey loves that show & they were doing a special during half time. What commercial was the 3-d glasses for?

It was the Sobe' Lizard commercial and the Chuck show preview.

No, there was a movie preview. It was pretty long, the whole thing was in 3D. (plus the ones B mentioned)

Disney's Monsters vs. Aliens movie preview.

I liked the 3d previews. We saw glasses the other day at Bilo and picked them up to watch Chuck, so we were able to see the previews too. I liked Bruce, but I'm probably older than you too, lol!

I didn't care for Bruce, but I don't know his songs....

And the kids loved the 3D previews and commercials.

Our school district has to cut so much out of next years budget that we are losing 13.5 teachers... very scary, especially when programs such as Industrial Tech will be cut.

We don't even watch halftime anymore for the Super Bowl. It's gotten exponentially crappier every year. We watched Wipeout instead.

I have to agree with you on the education thing. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Yeah, the halftime show was a joke. Bruce has worn out his time for show. We actually laughed pretty hard watching him do 'neat' stuff and then trying to figure out how to get up off of the stage again. What a shameful half time show. Well that and mentally he's a moron but that's for another post.
We watched the game and had some really good food.

I, too, have thought about how rich these singers and actors are and yet we struggle as an economy.

It's bizarro world, i tell ya!
