Snow Day

Well, the hubs and I woke up at 5:25 this morning and sat in the bed chatting about whether or not they would call off school.  Sure enough, at 5:30 we got the phone call.  We decided to wait to go skiing, as taking kids on a chair lift in 2 degree weather was not the least bit appealing to either one of us.
Don't laugh, but this is literally how deep the snow was.  I say was, because as I am typing this there is nothing left.  It all melted already, lol.  That is my kind of snow.... here one morning, gone by evening.  Although I would have liked to partake in some sledding.
I took the boys on a nice walk in the pasture.  Oh who am I kidding, they were whining the whole time about being tired and cold.  Of course, with the amount of clothing they had on it is a wonder they could even walk.
At one point G was running, and I swear it looked like Neil Armstrong on the moon.  It was so funny.
What to know what else is funny?  Friday it is supposed to be 60 degrees here.  AND in between us and the beach they got several more inches of snow.  I heard that SOME people even got to.... sled.  Don't worry I have many more pics to share tomorrow!

I am laughing at your snow... I need to take a picture of the snow at my work, the piles, the drifts... I think I'll remember to take the camera tomorrow...

The snow was nice, wasn't it? It was SO cold, though. Too cold for me and the little one to have too much fun. My older son had a ball though. Your guys do look very bundled up!

Great pictures!! I just can't believe you were up worrying about whether or not school would be canceled at 5:15 AM. Can you tell I'm not a morning person??

That's about the kind of snow we've been getting. I just got a message from a friend asking if we had snow and I laughed because the little we did have had melted yesterday.

Yeah that kind of doesn't qualify as a snow here. They would call it a skiff. Did you get to the store to stock up with groceries while you were snowed in?

That is how we roll here peeps, I warned you. If anything white falls out of the sky there is no school, lol. They actually could have gone on a two hour delay. Oh well, we are making it up in Thursday, so there went our second ski day.
