Relic

Landon got out our very first computer the other evening.  Yes, we STILL had it put away in a closet upstairs.  And yes, I have tried to throw it away many times over the past nine years and he wouldn't let me.  Lord knows, y'all know my motto.  If you aren't using it, donate it, or throw it away!  Anywho, he and Wyatt dug it out, after hollering down to me to inquire as to where it would be.  If something happened to me tomorrow that poor man wouldn't be able to find a thing, lol.  (I also had to tell him where the keyboard was, and where some phone cord was before it was all over with) The laptop has given up the ghost, and the boys wanted to see if the old dinosaur would work.  I would like to point out here that I stated that those old things couldn't handle DSL, and have less memory than a new cell phone, but that didn't stop my men folk from their mission.  Long story short... it is set up in my office.  If anyone would like to see a huge old desktop stop on by and take a spin.  It came on, but I would like to insert here that I was RIGHT.  It couldn't handle the speed of DSL.  Looks like we finally know what to buy the boys for Christmas this year.  Apple Store here we come!!!!  (Oh, and mums the word... okay people!)  Guess what L and W are doing right now instead of eating breakfast?  Yeah, playing old computer games.... and loving it.  Who knew?

you've got Apple fever! I told Dave I should call Apple and get a distance selling job with them and tell them how many computers we've bought/influenced the buying of--I know I could sell them on college campuses for sure! I have a spiel I give to anyone who asks me about them already!

p.s. I remember pulling out mom and dad's old computer and playing all the old floppy games we had gotten from somebody--I <3 Pong!

Old games are the best! I remember digging out some old floppy games too. I loved Oregon Trail!

Funny! I saved my mom's computer when she died 4 years ago. Just because I thought maybe I would look at it someday. I haven't yet.

About 10 years ago, I bought hubby an old Atari to play. He LOVED it and even invited a buddy over to play a few different times. They loved the old school football.

Very funny - I loved loved oregon trail, but it's been years since we've played. We found my uncle's Atari at grandma's house and got it out - so much fun!

Isn't it amazing how smart they are to figure all that stuff out! They taught me how to use the iTouch, etc. It's a sketch.
