Beautiful

The State is in the process of straightening out one of the main highways into and around the mountains.
This is great news for people like me who get car sick and are turning green after three curves in the road.
I can't even ride home from Albemarle on Canton Road... yes, it is THAT bad.  LOOK, pretty trees.  I didn't get to look at them because if I look sideways, I will lose my lunch.
This saddens the hubs, however, because he LOVES all of the curves and turns.  (of course he does, he was driving)  If you are planning a trip up to the mountains on this road, you need to check the blasting schedule so you know when it will be closed and open.
We passed this dairy farm on the way from Linville to Blowing Rock.  Gorgeous!!!!

Gorgeous pictures! That road sounds like all the ones in backwoods WV my grandpa took us on a few times to see the old family homestead and stuff. I tossed my lunch every time.

Really beautiful--I definitely have to take that road trip ,someday. The few times that I've driven through North Carolina--I've just thought it was so beautiful. Can't blame ya for living there! haha

As for my Christmas shopping, I do online shopping. I'm just about done. I just have to spread the loot out and make sure that I have an even number of presents for the kids. Gift cards for the rest of the people. heehee What can I say? I can't stand going into New York malls to shop during the holiday season . . . yep, that's the complete, honest answer!

Hope all is well.

Take care. And, have a great week.

I know what you mean, I can look down sometimes and get as the boys say, "wooie!" :)

Love the pics. It's a beautiful area. We were at the Zoo yesterday. Oh, it was all so gorgeous. A perfect day and we stayed all day. :)
