Free

The other day the husband mentioned the mountain bikes in our shed.  This is funny to me because we are FINALLY getting it cleaned out.  We bid adieus to the Scout and the last (sniff)  Wagoneer.  (Yes, someone actually bought the Wagoneer, something about turning it into a Hot Rod.  And yes, that was the one the cat had her kittens in the back of, and it wouldn't crank.  Minor details people, lol.)  So, there is only one car left in the back.  He told me he was tired of moving them around, and the tires on the bikes were dry rotted.  I was aghast.  How can that be, they haven't been ridden?  His response... EXACTLY.  Did you know bikes needed to be ridden periodically?  How long has it been since I rode my beloved bike.   Hmmmmmm, maybe.... no.   Okay, it has been about nine years.  Yep, before Wyatt was born.  So, yesterday I got a wild hair.  I pulled out both bikes and hosed them off.  I taped a FREE sign to each baby seat on the back and parked them beside the street sign at the top of the shop.  Five minutes later the girl bike was G.O.N.E.  I kid you not.  The boy bike was still there when I went to bed, but I have faith that someone will snatch it up.  That got me thinking.  What else would someone pick up, and get out of my yard.  This is going to be an on-going experiment.  Next up?  The pink and purple dirt-bike with no engine.  Hahahahahaa.  :)
UPDATE:  the boys bike was gone by 10 this morning.  I rolled the dirt-bike up there at 7pm.  It was gone by 7:30.  Who knew?

We've managed to get rid of a lawn mower, trimmer, and play kitchen that way. It is amazing what people will pick up. Someone even took our old, broken hot water heater before the trash pick-up came. Whatever!

I don't have the patience for a yard sale. I used to do the twin sale, but now I donate everything.
