Weekend in a nutshell

Friday night Clay called to see if we were interested in eating supper together.  We ended up trying out the new Pizza Hut on 601 with all 6 of us, Clay, Shaun and Celeste.  Afterwards we followed that with ice cream at the Cabarrus Creamery.  Good stuff.  If you haven't been to the downtown location, you won't be disappointed.  They also have a really cool book about the history of Sun-Drop.  (if you aren't from NC you may not know that our humble town is the home of said drink)
Saturday L and W had their basketball games.  This week they were back to back, so we didn't have to go to one and then return later in the day.  Grandmama and Granddaddy came to watch, and as it turns out, L played his best game of the season so far.  We all ate lunch at What-a-Burger.  Nothing tastes as good as their cherry lemon SunDrop!   Of course the place was PACKED with people, but the food was delish...thanks Dad.  After lunch, the boys all went home with my parents to spend the night.  The husband and I ate supper at the lodge with Jason and Angela, and played Phase 10.  I won in case you were wondering, lol.
Oh, I almost forgot.  After the boys went to Mom's, I went to Kohl's for a new pair of jeans.  Just me.  No kids.  Trying on clothes without anyone bothering me, talking to me, asking for a new toy, new shoes, a snack from McDonalds.  I also went to Hobby Lobby to look for a frame for W's room.  He drew an awesome picture of the book Stone Fox in his class had was selected by the art teacher as a winner!  Again, me, Hobby Lobby, alone, not having to say, "Keep your hands in the buggy", 186 times.  All together now.....
Niiiiiccccceeeee.  (a little shout-out to Napoleon Dynamite)
This morning our house was quiet.  Eerily so.  It was kind-of scary not to hear the buddies asking for Sunny D at dark thirty.  I sit here now, after church, lunch, and a good nap.  Thankful for my four boys and all that they bring into our life.
Okay, gotta go make a Valentine Box with L.

We had a lot of fun with the boys. We went on a long walk in the back field with the dog, the buddies, L & W, and Dad and I and I could not stop laughing! The dog was on a long rope and the buddies would try to run beside her but she would turn really quick and their feet would get caught up in the rope and they would fall in the tall grass and yell "Awww, not again." It was too cute! And L & W loved holding onto the rope and getting pulled around lol.

To say the least we all slept well saturday night =) Glad you and Landon enjoyed yourselves too!
